Why APA accreditation matters
The American Polygraph Association (APA) — not the American Psychological Association — accredits polygraph examiner training programs through its Education Accreditation Committee (EAC). Graduation from an APA-accredited program is a common prerequisite for APA membership and for licensure in many jurisdictions.
There are roughly twenty APA-accredited programs worldwide. Those programs publish the same core facts: 400 clock hours, 10–17 weeks, a required subject table, faculty qualifications, and an honest catalog.
How VCATC matches that model
VCATC was built so an EAC evaluator can map each public claim to a Core Standard. The Basic Course is not a marketing outline; it is the Section 3.3.3.3.1 subject table.

Graduation from VCATC also does not, by itself, grant a state license, a federal appointment, or employment. Those requirements vary by jurisdiction and employer.
